in the car
so im sitting in the car on the way home from work, typing out this blog post. I decided to take my laptop to work, cos study during the car trips, but now i cbb ahahaha. I studied on the way to work a bit though so thats good :D
anyways, im seriously considering swapping my blogger to a tumblr page thingo. Coooos ive heard its very intuitive. Ive currently made up a page an dthen imported my blog posts there, sooo now im just gonna use it for a while, and then if i like it, ill swap my blog from here to there, ill keep you guys posted :) i think its mainly the microblogging thing that i like.. easy to post pics and stuff just as a post. But we’ll see.
anyways.. i think thats all for nows.

can we pretend?
can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
i could really use a wish right now.

so anyways, its been a good week this week. pretty uneventful though. parentals came back from melbourne on wednesday. they brought me cupcakes and krispy kremes :D
so far i've eaten a pistachio cupcake, an espresso cupcake, and a latte donut, and a chocsauce/jam donut :D
my enamel is not gonna thank me.. oh well :P
in dtech, i've been doing my wax baseplate. had to partially melt a sheet of baseplate wax, and mould it onto the cast, without getting bubbles/creases which was alright i guess.. then had to get a wire and bend it to adapt it to the arch of the cast, and then mould it into the baseplate wax.. but i couldn't bend it all that well.. was really really frustrating, just couldn't get it right :S but in the end i finally got there. gah. in the three hour lab yest, i spent 2 hours bending the freaking wire, and then in the last hour i managed to get both my rims on which was quite good :D:D gosh, instead of writing hour just then, i wrote year accidentally :S:S:S LOL
anyways, exams are coming up soon.. two weeks, and im kinda getting stressed about dtech. so much stuff to learn. im alright for all th others, but just dtech looks killer.
anyways, i didn't have to go into uni today, cos there is not mgc lab today, so ive just been sitting at home, attempting to study. the key word here is attempting, cos not much has actually been done. oh well.
ooo going to a party tonight!! the theme is a white-scribble party. basically, we have to wear a white item of clothing, and then we all bring markers and draw on each other :D
such an awesome party theme.. hopefully i can think of something awesome like that if i end up having a themed-party this year.
annnd FINALLY handed in mouthguards yesterday.. woohooo.
annd got fcd marks back today :D full marks for the clinic, and 94 for my lit-review. so so happy.
i could really use a wish right now.

damn was gonna upload pics today, but my uploader thing in blogger is being retarded and won't work for some reason :(
anyways, im home aloonnneee and its fun :)
got to leave the thursday lab early as expected, which was good..annnd then friday, i just had mgc lab as well. was pretty boring. but at least all the mgc labs are over for this semester.
yesterday was ru's party! it was themed arabian nights, and i went as a magic carpet.. i went to spotlight in the morning, and got fabric, and sewed up my costume. i would upload a pic, but again, the uploader is being annoying. but the party was pretty good :) the food was yummmoooo.
and then today ive just been at home, chilling. im contemplating what to do for the rest of the night, cos i cbb studyin :P
anyways, i think thats all for now.

wed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my MUMMY!!! who had her birthday yesterday :D:D
didn't get a chance to post yest cos i was doing stuff, helping mum and dad.
anyhow, this week has been good so far. i've practically finished my acrylic special tray in dtech, so hopefully ill be able to leave tmr's lab and go home early. ill have to take some pics, and upload them here. umm and then today, we had blood tests, up at the podiatry clinic. they had to take about 10ml's in total.. for about 6 tests. i loved watching everyone else get theirs done, then when it was my turn, i refused to look whilst she inserted the needle. once it was in, it was alright ahahaha. i dunno usually im not all that scared.. but ah well.
apart from that not much has been the happenings really..
parentals are going melb tmr for a week, so i get to be home alone woot woot.
hmmm i might go play the piano.

pproodduuuccttiiiiivvveeeee
woohoo!
tonight i decided to take the night off from my mouthguards assignment.. annnd i actually still ended up doing some. soo i was so excited about it, that i decided to blog about it. go me!!
ahahaha.
but yesm, i actually did some work on it, which is quite amazing, considering i actually DECIDED to do nothing this night, not just procrastinate away.
anyways, today was pretty good.. had work at daddy's clinic, and then came home and did a bit of mouthguards. but thats about it. didn't even get a chance to play piano :S and now its too late gah. oh well. tmr. LOOL funny story, was gonna make scones tmr for mummy since its mothersday, but turns out mum forgot to get whipped cream, soo toast it is ahahahaha. oh well, lucky for me my whole family is boring and not into the whole commercialised-sentimental-thing so its all good hahaha. i mean, im fairly good anyways, so doing an apparent 'special effort' just seems strange, since i have to help around the house anyway.
anyhow. i shall go get back to mucking around :D doubt ill get any more assignment done tonight..but then again you never know..

procrastinating.
my world-class procrastination skill have been on display again this week, for anyone who wants to see such talent :D i have a report on mouthguards due next thursday, annnnd my plan was to be a super nerd and finish it by today. what a joke. ive barely started ahahaa. its 2500 words, so its not even that epic, but still, been procrastinating doing absolutely nothing else productive this whole week :D oh well, not like im super stressed about it yet ahahaha.
anyways, this week has been good otherwise. played badminton on wednesday with my dental ppls :D
the med students had placements on thursday/friday, so a few of our med/dent lectures were cancelled, sooo we got the morning off :D we had two baddy courts, plus a basketball court as well, so was pretty good.. we just rotated around. annd about 20 or so dents turned up which was really really good.
not much else interesting happened..
making acrylic special tray in dtech, its quite fun actually.. we used the light-cured material for the tray, so we got lots of time to mould it etc.. i STILL had bubbles though :S but then so did everyone else so not too bad.
umm what else.oo also cos the med ppls had placements yesterday, the mgc tute was cancelled, which is also today.. soooo my tute today was cancelled.. so i didnt even have to go to uni :D:D so so so so so awesome. i ended up waking up early anyways, and just mucked around this morning.. practiced piano for about an hour which was fun.
currently learning a piano sonata.. beethoven's moonlight sonata, third movement. its so ferocious and intense its kinda scary. but the cool thing is that, about 6 months ago, i remember listening to it and thinking WOW. and then now when i can play the first few pages of it, so it kinda becomes naturalised. i went and watched the same youtube vid last night, and i was literally thinking.. how on earth could i think this was THAT impressive when i first heard it ahaha. i mean, its still impressive when you hear it, i just wasn't as gobsmacked as i was before, now that i can play it. oh well, just goes to show what a little effort can do :)
hmm.. i should garner that effort into my mouthguards assignment ahahahahahaha

almost a week...
...since i last blogged. been slacking off hahahaha.
annnddd im STILL listening to that song 'kabhi kabhi aditi' practically 24/7 haha.
anyways, things have been pretty cruisy. no assessments or anything..
had a mgc lab last week, where we had to stimulate a nerve on a toad's hind limb to make it contract.. was pretty cool actually.
annd weekend was good as well, saturday had work, and then went out for dinner sat night.
sunday was the UDSS soccer event, and we freshers got absolutely thrashed. and then after, went to subiaco for dinner, with some other dentals, and a eng guy.
we ate at JUS BURGER, and i had the 'chickpea' burger, since im vego and all. it was actually really good - felafel patty thing, hommus style spread, and tomato/lettuce. was quite tasty, and the serving size was pretty big as well, so was quite filling.
went to san churros after, and i had a avellana i think it was called, it was spanish hot chocalate infused with hazlenut goodness. YUMMY. it was REALLY thick though, almost like melted chocolate.. like in the chocolate they have in chocolate fountains.
anyhow, today at uni was pretty breezy as well. there was a 10-min period where i thought i lost my wallet :( searched EVERYWHERE in the science library, and then turned out jacky had it his pocket -.-"
oh well. better him than some other random-non-integrous-individual.
cos my wallet has all my dental cards and everything so it would EPICALLY suck if i lost it :S

tuseday the twenty seventh of april, two thousand and ten
today was pretty good actually! had uni, starting attt 10am :D and then my dtech lab in the arvo was short as well, cos i was in the 'extra' rotation, so got to go home early. we just went over dentures and gold crowns, and saw a gold crown being fired which was pretty cool :D
apart from that, not too much has happened.oooo im on youtube nows :D still uploading vids and all, adding to my collection of vids :P

two things.
two things:
1. i changed the background pic :D i think ive finally found the perfect pic which matches my colour scheme and everything =D
2. im completely addicted to this song: 'kabhi kabhi aditi' its from the movie 'jaane tu..ya jaane na'(whether you know.. or not). anyways i copied in the lyrics and a youtube of the song :D the youtube clip is a bit dodgy sound quality, but its the best i could find :D annndd 'aditi' is the name of the girl in the movie ahahaha.

my epic laziness over the last two weeks has mean that i havent blogged :( so i have decided to get over myself and just get back into it. things have been going pretty good :) actually, i was just thinking the other day, that for once in my life, i can actually say that im HAPPY. truly happy. i think i have everything id ever want in my life right now, im doing a course i love at uni, and im surrounded my things and people that i love and love to be around. i think the last few years have been hard work trying to get admission into a course i wanna do in uni and all other stuff has just always been on my mind, having a sort of omnipresence over me and everything i did, but not i can gladly say that its all cleared up and im free to be who i want to be =D

i think the mass colours were deviating from the title of this blog, so i made them more SIMPLE =) which is kinda the point.
anyhow, haven't posted for ages, due to my extreme laziness.
study break is going good so far.

played the sims 3 yesterday, which is always fun.
got too many social events planned for this week though, don't really have much time to study.

...morning rain is falling.
not.
today actually turned out to be a really good day weather wise! was coolish, but still sunny. was able to keep the windows open the WHOLE day which is always good.
anyways, didnt get upto too much today. did vacuuming+steammopping, and a bit of study. mainly just procrastination/lazing around/fb-ing.
oo and i played the piano.
i finally got my act together, and look into getting tickets for allied health: natural selection, hoping ill still be able to get a ticket :S looks like fun.
umm there isnt really much else.. i don't think.

woot
woot.. one week till study break!!!
can't wait. not that i have plans or anything, just i won't have to wake up early to come to uni,, ill just probly end up waking up early to study at home.
things have been good for the last few days.
wednesday, the uni looked markedly better, so i was quite impressed with the gardener ppls :)
umm wed we had this fcd (fundamentals of clinical dentistry) tute.. the most boring thing ever. it was pretty much basic communication stuff.. so god damn boring. luckily we didn't take too long to finish it. didn't leave uni till like 515ish, even though we finished the tute at about 3ish, cos was just mucking around in the science lib after.. 'attempting' (<-- double underline/bold this) to study.
thursday was the final day to work on our mouthguards, and i was fairly happy with my mouthguard in the end. game myself a 21/30 for self assessment, was kinda lenient, but yeah doesn't really matter. not like was giving myself a 28 hahaha.
friday was mgc tute day, which meant QUIZ. i can officially say i have completed 1.5% of the mgc course, cooos for the two quizzes so far which we've had, each being o.75%, i got 100%. yay me. but its kinda pointless cos its such a small number anyway. dont even know why we study so much for them.. i guess its good, we wont have to study as much for the exams and stuff =D
annnddd then friday after my tute, i went to the city to get linh's bday present =D
was SUPPOSED to go to linh's house with jacky+louise, but then they rejected me and left early :(
luckily i was with some podiatry kids, so we just hung out in the city for a bit, and then caught the train up. linh's party was pretty fun, glad i went. was a bit of a bummer cos nogga for dent was on the same night, so kinda bummed i couldn't go to that cos that looked uber fun, but oh well, priorities i suppose.
annnd then we come to today, left linh's house about 7am and then had to go work, but first went to the city with jacky for breakfast.
ummm work was alright as usual.

it was a stormy stormy night, well arvo really.
yesterday was insane!!!!
super duper stormy! hailstorm and everything! lucky for me, i was safe at home, my arvo lecturer knew it was coming, so sent us all home early, and yea. they had golf-ball sized hailstones and everything :O annd when i went to uni today, it was HELL different, leaves everywhere, winthrop hall's stained glass windows were smashed (some) and yea. luckily my house wasn't too badly hit, only thing that happened to us, was that we didnt have power all last night, and this morning as well. according to mum it came on about 2ish where i live.. so yeah. im just glad that it came back by the time i came home =D even hail wise, we only had normal-sized hail, biggest being about 1cm in diameter MAX. but it rained like hell, our garage almost got flooded, cos the drain pipes in front of it was filling up with water, and yea, luckily nothing too major happened.
in other news, the sunsets were AMAZING :O all the colours and everything were really picture perfect.
annnnddd apart from that, i got my tooth back today! the plasticine one.. i passed xD WOOT actually, everyone in dentistry passed this year =D
umm annnd as you can probably see, i changed my layout.. again. i seriously think something is wrong with me, i mean, no-one usually needs to change their blogger layout as much as i do.. lotsa ppl i know have had the same layout for AGES. i think its more the fact that there ARE options, so i just go on changing my layout. oh well, i currently like this layout, simple, but still nice.

tired
today im soo tired. for some unknown reason. didnt really have a late night last night or anything :S
anyways, btwn the last time i posted, and now, things have been pretty cool.
thursday, had dtech lab, and my lab technician helper guy was helping me and then did the scariest thing ever. basically, i asked him to help me with my mouthguard, cos i couldnt cut the inner palata margins very well :S so i got him to help, and then he completely cut off my second molar area on the guard :O and then after he proceeded to tell me that he wanted me to make a new one, cos my first one was too flimsy... he could've at least told me BEFORE cutting off my second molar bit, i was literally flipping out :(
anyways, i re-did my mouthguard, and put the shape into a blank. luckily he said he would cut it for me, and bring me up to scratch with everyone else =D otherwise, id have to come in my spare time to catch up, which would kinda slightly suck :P
and thhheeennn friday was pretty good as well. went into uni early to study in the lib. went to broadways for lunch, and had mgc lab in the arvo. annnddd then cos we finished our lab early, we decided we should make the most of our early finish (4pm, as opposed to 5pm :O) and decided to go to the city! we had to wait for a friend to get picked up, so stuck around uni till 530ish, and then headed into the city.. well, attempted to ahaha. the traffic was terrible. literally took us 45 minutes or so just to get from uwa, to the hospital on mounts bay rd. sooo we decided to get off the bus and just walk it. on the way we walked past jacob's ladder, so i had the genius idea of climbing it =D soo i dragged my four friends up jacobs ladder and yea, was pretty hilarious, cos everyone was complaining and i got to just laugh at them all ahahahahhaa. anyways, eventually made it to the city, and got bbl-t from utopia cos they were having a special thingo where it was only $1! saw some second year dents there and some poddies as well, so we all hung out a bit. ended up getting home about 720ish, and then had ppl over for dinner and yea.
today i had work, and then since i came back ive eaten twice, played the piano, and been in my room surfing the net and watching movies.
since im so tired, i think im gonna go read a book or play my ds and then go to sleep.
probly post tmr.. i wanna add lotsa pics on, so probly tmr ahaha.

anyways, btwn the last time i posted, and now, things have been pretty cool.
thursday, had dtech lab, and my lab technician helper guy was helping me and then did the scariest thing ever. basically, i asked him to help me with my mouthguard, cos i couldnt cut the inner palata margins very well :S so i got him to help, and then he completely cut off my second molar area on the guard :O and then after he proceeded to tell me that he wanted me to make a new one, cos my first one was too flimsy... he could've at least told me BEFORE cutting off my second molar bit, i was literally flipping out :(
anyways, i re-did my mouthguard, and put the shape into a blank. luckily he said he would cut it for me, and bring me up to scratch with everyone else =D otherwise, id have to come in my spare time to catch up, which would kinda slightly suck :P

sigh, three days without posting. week has been uneventful as of yet.
we started making our dental mouthguards in dtech yesterday. dont get our marks on the plasticine tooth back till next week hopefully, cos im not really wanting them back.. im pretty sure i passed, but still. played badminton today with some second year pod kids, was pretty fun. as you might have been able to tell by my lack of typing in this post, im freaking tired. since i got back from uni, ive just been staring aimlessly at my comp screen being generally unproductive on the study frontier. fb has been used lots this arvo though.. hahaha.
okay i think thats all nows.

don't know what to title this post.
okay. my plan to be a 'consistent' blogger this year, has failed epically as you might see, since i haven't posted in nearly TWO WEEKS :O
anyways, over the last ten days or so, lots of cool stuff has happened.
first and foremost, we had to hand in our plasticine tooth on thursday! the 15 hours of non-stop working and moulding finally came to a close, and we had to self-assess our work, and then submit it. actually im kinda glad it is over, cos i was kinda getting sick of it.
and then we also had to do proportional drawings of teeth, complete with shading and everything. lucky for us, there were some excellent pictures in the textbook which we could copy, so it made it marginally easier. that was due the same day as the plasticine tooth, but we were allowed to do these pics in our own time, so we didnt have a time limit like with the tooth.

anyhow, last last friday (5th i think) was the dentistry fresher welcome at uni! it was held at night, on the ohcwa lawn!! it was pretty fun =D ended up going to dinner with the dent ppls before the event, was quite funny considering there was about 20 of us all piling into a little azn cafe place to eat hahaha. biggest group they would have had i think. i remember i had, tofu teriyaki!! and it comes with miso soup and vegetable pickle and rice =D yummmy. dent freshers was basically just a big party, and i also got my freshers t-shirt!
umm apart from that, i dont think too much has happened.. cant believe its already week FOUR.
only three weeks left and its mid-semester!!!
its gone soo quickly so far. which is kinda sad, cos they say uni is the best time in your life, and its going past too quickly :(
anyways, i guess ill have to 'live on the edge' for my uni years, and truly cherish them!
i think thats all for now.

recap-ationing101.
okay here we go, recap from lasst *opens blog to see last post* wednesday!!!
okay thursday, had uni. umm ooo yeah i started at 10 that day :O cos, i didnt go to the morning lecture since its fahb (which i dont have to do) and it was a 8am lecture. and to top it off, it was in the business school, so yeah cbb walking all the way down. instead, i just came to the library, and then studied a bit.
in the afternoon, we had our second dtech lab, annnnd we started our plasticine tooth! basically, we are given a model of a giant molar, and we have to replicate it exactly. im gonna take some pics tmr when i have the lab again, so ill upload them after (: my tooth, is doing alright i think, cos i got the basic shape done, and yeah, mainly just details now! we have 15 hours or so to do it, so hopefully ill be able to finish in time. annd we also have to do drawings of teeth, with shading and everything, so that should be fun i guess. just needa bring out my artistic side :P
umm friday was uni again, and was rather fun! in the morning had a couple of lectures, and then had to also go for a communication skills lecture, which we are gonna be having in the first two weeks of uni. it was basically just going over basic communication skills between patients and doctors/dentists. and then in the afternoon, went to broadways for lunch, and then went to check out jacky's unit. and then played BADMINTON!!! played for like 1.5 hours, but it was sooo hot, so i was suuper knackered by the end of it.
saturday was pretty normal, just went to work and then after went out for dinner. was supposed to stay home and study, but that kinda didnt really happen :(
sunday morning i finally managed to get some study done!! managed to revise everything i needed to which was good. annd then did vacuuming and steam mopping as well ahahha. for dinner we went to northbridge for dinner. the plan was to go to utopia, but it was slightly busy, so we just went to another azn restaurant. i got noodles. yumo. annd then i introduced my daddy to his first every bubble-tea! ahahha. annd then after that just came home, and i had to iron my laundry, and then just watched a movie and went to sleep.
aannndd then now we come to today. basically, so far, all ive done is come into uni and yes. now just blogging away in the science library and yea :)

new layout!
after much swapping around, we finally have a new layout! i think ive tried every single layout blogger has, trying to find something good. couldn't be bothered using a 'custom' layout, cos then i have to do all the link editing etc :S
anyhow, managed to find this one and im happy now =D

back to uni!
even though its only day three of being back at uni, it feels like we've been there a while, and thats just how i like it :)
dent has been going really good so far, got to go to the common room yesterday, cos it was pretty empty. played ping pong and a bit of pool hahaha. annd we also watched some of the olympics during on tv haha. yesterday we also had our first dtech (introduction to dental technology, dtech for short) lab, which was really good, because we got our first exposure to dental stuff, as opposed to all the textbook work. basically, we were introduced to all our tools, and their names/functions. annd then we had to soften a piece of baseplate wax (about 10cm2) and fold it in half, without trapping any air bubbles. i have a feeling i did mine a bit too quickly, cos i had a couple of air bubbles, but i managed to just heat up one of the instruments, and then melt/resurface the wax around the bubble. annd then we were told how to operate these special types of drills, one of the many id imagine, that we'll be using in dental practice.
today was all lectures, and then after the final lecture, stayed back in the library, because a couple of my friends needed help with some of the lecture content, so i was just helping them. its really cool in our science library, because we have white-board tables, so its well good for explaining stuff :D even though this is slightly strange, i realllly like the idea of just staying back after all the lectures/classes are finished, and just chilling/studying in the library. its kinda wierd, but a lot of my 'fond' memories from last year science, were these sorta things. i think its just a nice 'break' from the stress of lectures, and the hustle-bustle of having to commute home. today, after helping my friends int he library, i just sat around with jacky, whilst he was getting his laptop connected to the uni network, annd then i went to see his house place he was renting with his two flatmates. its actually a quite alright house! and his room is reasonably big for a unit. and main thing is its close to uni.
anways, i think the only problem with uni, is the 8-5 timetable. so tiring. this whole week, ive been sleeping at about 1030ish, since ive just been so tired. i think its the 6:00 wake up that is the hard part :P but i guess ill get used to it, cos ill most likely have this for at least the next couple of years. and its a good thing the whole of dentistry is together, we all get to suffer together hahahaa.
hmm okay, i should get back to my mgc notes, doing lecture summaries. haha. and im planning on going to uni early tomorrow as well to do them as well, so ill get back to it!

150!!
ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY POSTS!!!!!!
yay.
so this is the one hundred and fiftieth post, which means im 15% of the way to achieving my life-time blogging goal, of having 1000 posts :D i think, by having 1000+ posts, you can truly say that you are a dedicated blogger. because if you think about it, if you post EVERDAY, then it would still take you just under three years to do; dedication? i think so :P so yes, this post is the 150th, and i reckon itll take me another three four years to get to 1000 hahaha. depends how often i post i suppose.
oo and yesterday, whilst i was cleaning up my desk area and drawers, i came to the sudden realisation that, I DONT HAVE TO DO MATHS ANYMORE!!! =D
not that there is anything wrong with maths, i just prefer to not do it hahaha. well apart from the odd unit or so ill probly come across in dentistry, i wont have to fully focus on maths every again (:
yeah i came across this thought of absolute amazement while i was creating a 'study zone' by getting rid of all the non-essential items from my drawers, annnd i came across my graphics calculators, and a couple of the scientific ones :P so yes! i am rather happy now (:
anyways, apart from being the 150th post, today was also my first day as a dentist-in-the-making. it was pretty good i reckon :D had a couple of lectures, and since i got exemption from one unit (cos of my science stuff i did last year) i didn't have to go for a lab this morning. annd my afternoon lecture was in ohcwa, so picked up some chilliz as we were walking up. the plan was to eat it in our 'oh-so-awesome' common room, but it was kinda packed, so we just ate outside in the verandha =D
but im thinking ill have to start taking packed lunches a couple of days a week, cos chilliz isn't exactly the healthiest option out there, and its soo tempting cos its so cheap hahaha. so yeah! that was the first day of dentistry :)
since it was just introductory stuff today, i knew all the stuff in the lectures so luckily i dont have much revision or study to do, ill just flick through a couple of chapters and then muck around for the rest of the night hahaha.
annnd it was soo cool meeting up with everyone in uni again! hadn't seen a lot of these ppl for 3 months or so, so was really good catching up with them all!
okay i think this is all for now,
ill should be able to post regularly now, since im back in the 'uni routine' lol

ohcwa
today i had my orientation up at ohcwa, the oral health centre of western australia. its up near QEII hospital, and right next to the med/dent library which is really good. we basically walked around the centre, going through all the seperate areas where we would be spending our time over the next five years! was really really quite interesting :)
i found some random pics on the internet:

this is the clincal area, where we work on patients and stuff:
anyways, its kinda wierd, but the foyer bit reminded me a LOT of the hospital in grey's anatomy.. like if anyone knows, in that hospital in the main foyer, there is a brige connecting the two different sides of the top floor, transversing the foyer. and in ohcwa, they have EXACLTY THE SAME THING :O and then to top it all off, in the hospital, they have a wall of windows on either side of the foyer, and they have the same thing in ohcwa :O !! so yeah, whenever i go there now ill think of greys anatomy, funny considering i dont actually watch the show.. only seen a few eipsodes here and there hahaha.
anyhow, after the ohcwa orientation, we went down to CHILLIZ (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) for lunch. gosh hadnt been there for like 4 months, was soo good to go back. and the food is still CHEAP :)
anyways, didnt really do too much else today, just came home after chilliz cos i kinda got a sore throat, so hoepfully ill recover before uni starts next week.
annd i got my timetable today.. and it sucks as expected hahaha. 8-5 everyday. except for friday, i start at 9am. but then i also got credit for one of my units, so i dont go to the 3 hour lab scheduled for monday morning, so yeah i start at 11am :D woot. best way to start the week i suppose; i doubt even arts kids get that lol.
ooo. i must mention that the DENT COMMON ROOM KICKS ASS. seriously, its just plain awesome. couches, tables, microwaves, vending machine, ping pong, pool table, plasma, playstation.. the list goes on. and the room is quite big itself, not like some other common rooms ive been to *COUGH*med*COUGH* :P annnnd we are also getting an xbox and a fooseball table =D

onehundredandfourtyseven:parttwo
okay so where were we, oh yes just finished camp. by the time i got home it was about 4ish, so i ahd a shower and got all the dental stuff out of my hair and the bits that were stuck on my skin. annd then i was SO TIRED, but i decided to drag it on till atleast 10pm, otherwise id have waken up to early the next morning and screwed up my body clock even more haha. anyways, managed to drag on till 10pm, and then slept for like ten hours hahaha.
umm monday i had my o-quest at uni :) even though i already know my way around the uwa campus, i decided to go anyways, cos then atleast i could meet some mroe of the dent crew who were starting this year. funny thing was i ended up knowing my unimentor since i know so many second years. and i also knew more about campus than her which was good haha. anyways, after that just came home and chilled out.
okay now we come today which has been my lazy day at home. still recovering from the camp. annd i got a really sore throat which kinda sucks, so ive been eating a spoon of honey basically every two hours. it seems to be better now, but we'll see by tmr morning.

ok wow. havent posted for a while. WOOPS.
i think the lack of routine in the holidays screws up the whole posting routine, since each day's plan isnt set in stone like during the uni semester.
anyways, last thursday i made spinach and ricotta canelloni for dinner :)
it was actaully quite tasty hahaa. the only problem was when i was cooking it in the oven, the top 'half' kept dehydrating and i had to take it out and flip each canelloni roll thing. and then i had cheese which was on top, but yeah after several rotations in the oven the cheese was kinda all spread around the outside hahaha. ah well, it tasted really really good so thats good. and its nice to have it made 'fresh' from the freshly chopped spinach and basil and everything. i think that even though in a restaurant they make it fresh, making it yourself adds the special charm to it :D
anyway, on friday at about 11, i left for my med/dent fresher camp. the camp was organised by the med student society at uwa, for all the medical, dental, podiatric medicine and health science freshers. personally i think that the health science kids should have had thier camp with the science kids, because they dont share any units with med/dent/pod, but then because health science is under the same faculty, i guess thats why they were with us. anyhow, there were about 50-60 meds, only 7 dents, and like three pod med kids, and two health science kids. over the camp we did heaps of fun stuff. basic plan was activites during the day, and then partying during the night :D we didnt really sleep much, only about 4 hours over the two nights.. so yeah two hours each night ahahha.
the first day we got there, we did all the 'medical' related stuff, like phlebotomy and then taking dental impressions for dentures and stuff. we also had a chance to get our feet analysed by the higher year pod med students hahaha. then that night, we had a quiz thing, with these reallly hilarioud minigames in between each round. saturday mornign we went to the lake for a swim, and then had this challenge quest thing in the afternoon, where we had to try and complete as many challenges as we could off this long list we were given. we did the quiz night and challenge quest thing in groups which we were put at the start of camp. annd then saturday night we played boat races, and then just partyed the night away.
sunday was mostly uneventful, just lazed the morning awawy socialising with ppl hahaha. no wait, at the end of the camp, when we were taking the group photos, we were all standing/kneeling in position. and then they took a couple of pics, and then on the third pic, all the uni-leaders (who were higher years) threw all this dental-impression-gum-dissolved-in-water all over us. we were all on the ground, and the leaders were all on the platform behind us and yeah, they basically got everyone. it was quite hilarious really, and its gonna make for an AWESOME photo. but getting all the stuff off my tshirt was not very fun at all, spent about half an hour scrubbing away at my tshirt hahaha.
okay i have to go empty the dishwasher so ill be back later to keep posting.

haven't posted in a while...
my apologies for my lack of post-age; havent posted in the last few days. the sole reason behind this is because... *drumroll*... I FINALLY INSTALLED THE SIMS THREE ON MY LAPTOP!!!!!!!!! WOOOOT yeah in case you don't know me, im obsessed with the sims.) anyhow, now that ive got it onto my laptop, ive been playing it pretty much non stop since i got it, which was on saturday night :D so yeah, ive basically not had a life for the past 48 hours =D i couldn'y play it on my old comp, cos my old comp was really really OLD. but now, since my laptop is all hip and stuff, it works great. anywas, my sim is currently an author, cos i read somewhere on the internet, that its an easy way to get rich, and i must agree with the internet ppls! soon ill be living in a mcmansion, and yeah, life will be good :D well, its already good so it can only get better. personally i think the sims three is quite good, in the sense it has the whole neighbourhood involved, not just the one plot. and the graphics are nothing short of ammazing :D hahaha. only problem is there is no PIANO :(. only a guitar, which is still better than nothing.

onehundredandfourtyfive
couldn't think of an imaginative post title, so yeah.
today was quite good :D went grocery shopping with mummy in the morning, and then ate lunch and watched the italian job on dvd in the arvo. annnd then i made dinner :) made pad-thai noodles. they turned out reasonable. i think i had too many noodles but :S because i think the noodle to sauce ratio was a bit too large in favour of the noodles.. but ah wells, after a few mouthfulls, it was yummy :D apart from that, just been lazing around at home, relaxing. sometimes its nice just to get away from it all and spend the day at home i think.
annnd yesterday was good as well, went into the city with amali and sonia. we just did some shopping, and ate lunch at this nice little jap/korean cafe place. i needed to get a sleeve for my laptop, so was pleased when i managed to find a suitable one :) annd then i also applied for my proof of age card, which means i can now go out to lounges and bars and stuff without having to take my passport which i don't really like doing :S
hmm what else.. ooo ive been listening to the new Owl City album: 'ocean eyes.' it is TRULY AWESOME! for the uninitiated, owl city is a one-man band thing which is mainly electronica type music. really really good. the songs are all so catchy and happy and nice. and its nice to listen to since its so uplifting and stuff, annnd it doesn't get repetitive or anything since each track is quite different. i recommend: hot air balloon, dental care, on the wing and fireflies. the vid clip for fireflies is also worth watching-extremely imaginative i think. my favourite is probably hot air balloon, since i really like the background glockenspiel(?) beat thing. if you listen to it, you'll see what im talking about :P and just a note, please for the sake of this type of music, use a headset or good quality external speakers when you listen to it, because otherwise you'll miss half the important stuff.

and since im biased towards dental stuff i just HAD to post dental care :P
okkay i think thats all for nows.

new pic!!
i decided to update my blog pic with something from my trip, so there we have it, the courtyard of the palais royal musée du louvre =D took the pic on my camera phone, and unfortunately the night time pic-taking isnt as great as the daytime photos, but ah wells. i think its a bit big, but i'll leave it as it for a couple of days, and if its still bugging me, ill upload a smaller version..but i think its just because im used to the small pic which i had previously.
anyhow, today has been uneventful as per usual. just played ddr this morning, aand watched the DaVinci Code, and then made pasta for lunch. actually watching the davinci code was really good cos i could recognize lots of the places in paris where the film was shot. not just the louvre and stuff, but lotsa other places as well =D and then yeah just on msn and editing my blog. when i was uploading the new pic i accidentally converted my template to the old one, so had to re-do the whole thing :S
and yeah i think thats all for now.

long time!
hii ppls! havent been able to post for AGES since ive been away for the last month =D
went to the the uk, and paris :D went mainly to london, but then also went for a bit of a road trip up to nottingham, and sheffield, for a couple of nights at each place. and then was in paris for four nights/three full days.
our road trip around england was really really good! it started snowing in nottingham and by the time we reached sheffield, it was REALLY snowy, about 30cm or so :D
this is nottingham, the morning after. the snow started falling the night before :)
aannd this is sheffield, which was under a good 30cm atleast of snow.
anyways, the snow was good fun, managed to make a snowman :D
anyways, apart from the snow, london was pretty fun as well :D didn't do THAT much sightseeing because i've done most of it on earlier trips :P meeting up with all the family was good fun :D seriously the number of ppl who share my last name on my fb account has gone up a LOT! hahaha. good thing everyone has fb and stuff now, easy to keep in contact xD
annnd then paris was great as expected :P really really good. and the best thing was that the eurostar on the way there didn't break down in the tunnel :P in the week before, the train stopped in the tunnel on two separate trips, cos the snow was causing a malfunction somewhere. but luckily for us, it turned out okay and we got through without any hassle. the north of france was kinda snowy as well, but then considering the WHOLE of the great britain was under a sheet of snow the week before, it would make sense.
anyhow, the weather in paris was really nice, so managed to get alot of sightseeing again. wont upload any pics of anything, cos i was EXTREMELY snap happy in paris, so cbb sorting through all the pics to find the best ones to upload. anyways, over the three four days we were there, we did this: sacré cœur (on the night we came, nice view over the whole of paris during twilight, all the lights and stuff :p), musée du Louvre, champs elysees & arc de triomphe, eiffel tower, musée d'orsay, sacré cœur (again, but this was during the MORNING =D), and then notre dame! so yeah, got lots done :D my fav was definitely the musée du louvre, was really nice architecture, and also the painting and stuff were amazing as well. annnnd i got have a photo with the mona lisa :P haha.
in other news, i got into DENTISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay me. im kinda still shocked as to how i managed to pull this one off and get admission :P there were about 200-300ish non-standard applicants this year(or so i was told..), and they only offered ten seats for non-standard applicants, and somehow i managed to get an offer for one of those seats :P so i guess whoever is 'up there' must have done some fine orchestration to get me in :P either that or its just written. lol.
okay i think ill stop rambling on now, hoepfully will be able to get back into the posting habit :D
