recap #2

sunday 6th dec - wed 9th dec

umm sunday, my cousin came from the uk!! she is on a round-the-world trip, and so far had been to s.america, new zealand, sydney, melb and then perth :D then she is going to HK, spore, and then india, and then back home :D
sunday we didnt do too much, just ended up going to kings park and the city to show her around a bit. monday we all went to hillary's boat harbour, for a swim and lunch. had wok-in-a-box, and with my uber awesome student edge card managed to get a free drink with our meals :D annnd then afterwards went into freo for gelato/coffee&cake, and then just headed home because daddy had to go for karate. after dinner watched zoolander, since my cousin hadn't seen it, and she enjoyed it which was gd!
tuesday, we went to the city!! because my cousin wanted to have a look around at the museums and such, and then she also wanted to buy a pair of UGG boots :D annnd, i was supposed to meeting up with linh and jacky for lunch as well, so it all turned out ok. we basically walked around the shopping malls, and then went into northbridge for dimsum lunch, and then on into harbourtown for more shopping and gelare waffles :D half price tuesdays ftw!
haha linh got us presents for xmas, and me and jacky were trying to guess what it was,convo went sorta like this:
us: sooo what did you get us?
linh: not telling
us: hmm okay, just so we know, is it food or something else or?
linh: maybe, again, im not telling!
us: okay, so it wont melt or anything right? like its not chocolates?
linh: haha, i never get choc for anyone!
us: so are you sure it wont melt,(since i had it in my bag, which was black (which then absorbs heat from the sun etc etc))
linh: naa, its fine.
meanwhile, jacky didnt have a bag, so he just walking around holding his bright red-wrapped present in his hand, and then...
linh: oi jacky, you look so silly walking around with a box of choc... AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

was damn funny, and we were just like.. hmm never buy chocolates aye LOL

anyways, after we got back to the city, i had to go because my cousin rung me up, and then we walked down to the bell tower, so i could show her my tile/paver thing, which had my name written on it :D and took some photos also. hmm what else.. OOO we also booked tickets for the ferry to rottnest, since were planning on going on wed! they didn't have any bikes to hire, which was a bit annoying, but we just booked the tix anyways! ended up getting home around 5ish, and then just mucked around for the rest of the day/night

wed- today was the great expedition to rottnest! never been there before, until that day, so i knew about as much as my cousin.. not much :P woke up early-ish and cought the bus down into fremantle, to the station, and then made our way to C-shed because thats where the ferry was coming :D we caught the ferry at 10:15 in the morning, because we didn't wanna be too rushed in the morning. the ferry ride there was pretty smooth, and got there by 11am. basically we just walked around the island, stopping at all the little poi's just for photos and such. ended up walking about 15km's which was quite good! also went for a swim; the water was freezing, but we had been walking the whole day so it was worth it! the ferry to take us back came at 4:30, and this time it was soooo fun! because there were heaaappps of waves and such, it was really bumpy and turbulent so was like a theme park ride/rollercoaster thing :D annnd they went really fast on the way back, considering we got back to freo by 5:00pm. i think the speed added to the turbulency which was coooool. they were handing out sickness bags incase ppl felt seasick, whilst i was just happily gawking at all the giant waves and stuff outside XD
ended up getting home around 6ish, we were luck as by the time we reached the station, the bus wasn't too far away, so didn't have to wait at the station for too long :D
annnd then had dinner, and just mucked around at home, and then went to the airport at about 10pm, the flight was coming at 1205. we ended up hanging around the airport till about 11ish, then my cousin went off, and we came home.
