in the car
so im sitting in the car on the way home from work, typing out this blog post. I decided to take my laptop to work, cos study during the car trips, but now i cbb ahahaha. I studied on the way to work a bit though so thats good :D
anyways, im seriously considering swapping my blogger to a tumblr page thingo. Coooos ive heard its very intuitive. Ive currently made up a page an dthen imported my blog posts there, sooo now im just gonna use it for a while, and then if i like it, ill swap my blog from here to there, ill keep you guys posted :) i think its mainly the microblogging thing that i like.. easy to post pics and stuff just as a post. But we’ll see.
anyways.. i think thats all for nows.

can we pretend?
can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
i could really use a wish right now.

so anyways, its been a good week this week. pretty uneventful though. parentals came back from melbourne on wednesday. they brought me cupcakes and krispy kremes :D
so far i've eaten a pistachio cupcake, an espresso cupcake, and a latte donut, and a chocsauce/jam donut :D
my enamel is not gonna thank me.. oh well :P
in dtech, i've been doing my wax baseplate. had to partially melt a sheet of baseplate wax, and mould it onto the cast, without getting bubbles/creases which was alright i guess.. then had to get a wire and bend it to adapt it to the arch of the cast, and then mould it into the baseplate wax.. but i couldn't bend it all that well.. was really really frustrating, just couldn't get it right :S but in the end i finally got there. gah. in the three hour lab yest, i spent 2 hours bending the freaking wire, and then in the last hour i managed to get both my rims on which was quite good :D:D gosh, instead of writing hour just then, i wrote year accidentally :S:S:S LOL
anyways, exams are coming up soon.. two weeks, and im kinda getting stressed about dtech. so much stuff to learn. im alright for all th others, but just dtech looks killer.
anyways, i didn't have to go into uni today, cos there is not mgc lab today, so ive just been sitting at home, attempting to study. the key word here is attempting, cos not much has actually been done. oh well.
ooo going to a party tonight!! the theme is a white-scribble party. basically, we have to wear a white item of clothing, and then we all bring markers and draw on each other :D
such an awesome party theme.. hopefully i can think of something awesome like that if i end up having a themed-party this year.
annnd FINALLY handed in mouthguards yesterday.. woohooo.
annd got fcd marks back today :D full marks for the clinic, and 94 for my lit-review. so so happy.

sundaaayyy
damn was gonna upload pics today, but my uploader thing in blogger is being retarded and won't work for some reason :(
anyways, im home aloonnneee and its fun :)
got to leave the thursday lab early as expected, which was good..annnd then friday, i just had mgc lab as well. was pretty boring. but at least all the mgc labs are over for this semester.
yesterday was ru's party! it was themed arabian nights, and i went as a magic carpet.. i went to spotlight in the morning, and got fabric, and sewed up my costume. i would upload a pic, but again, the uploader is being annoying. but the party was pretty good :) the food was yummmoooo.
and then today ive just been at home, chilling. im contemplating what to do for the rest of the night, cos i cbb studyin :P
anyways, i think thats all for now.

wed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my MUMMY!!! who had her birthday yesterday :D:D
didn't get a chance to post yest cos i was doing stuff, helping mum and dad.
anyhow, this week has been good so far. i've practically finished my acrylic special tray in dtech, so hopefully ill be able to leave tmr's lab and go home early. ill have to take some pics, and upload them here. umm and then today, we had blood tests, up at the podiatry clinic. they had to take about 10ml's in total.. for about 6 tests. i loved watching everyone else get theirs done, then when it was my turn, i refused to look whilst she inserted the needle. once it was in, it was alright ahahaha. i dunno usually im not all that scared.. but ah well.
apart from that not much has been the happenings really..
parentals are going melb tmr for a week, so i get to be home alone woot woot.
hmmm i might go play the piano.

pproodduuuccttiiiiivvveeeee
woohoo!
tonight i decided to take the night off from my mouthguards assignment.. annnd i actually still ended up doing some. soo i was so excited about it, that i decided to blog about it. go me!!
ahahaha.
but yesm, i actually did some work on it, which is quite amazing, considering i actually DECIDED to do nothing this night, not just procrastinate away.
anyways, today was pretty good.. had work at daddy's clinic, and then came home and did a bit of mouthguards. but thats about it. didn't even get a chance to play piano :S and now its too late gah. oh well. tmr. LOOL funny story, was gonna make scones tmr for mummy since its mothersday, but turns out mum forgot to get whipped cream, soo toast it is ahahahaha. oh well, lucky for me my whole family is boring and not into the whole commercialised-sentimental-thing so its all good hahaha. i mean, im fairly good anyways, so doing an apparent 'special effort' just seems strange, since i have to help around the house anyway.
anyhow. i shall go get back to mucking around :D doubt ill get any more assignment done tonight..but then again you never know..

procrastinating.
my world-class procrastination skill have been on display again this week, for anyone who wants to see such talent :D i have a report on mouthguards due next thursday, annnnd my plan was to be a super nerd and finish it by today. what a joke. ive barely started ahahaa. its 2500 words, so its not even that epic, but still, been procrastinating doing absolutely nothing else productive this whole week :D oh well, not like im super stressed about it yet ahahaha.
anyways, this week has been good otherwise. played badminton on wednesday with my dental ppls :D
the med students had placements on thursday/friday, so a few of our med/dent lectures were cancelled, sooo we got the morning off :D we had two baddy courts, plus a basketball court as well, so was pretty good.. we just rotated around. annd about 20 or so dents turned up which was really really good.
not much else interesting happened..
making acrylic special tray in dtech, its quite fun actually.. we used the light-cured material for the tray, so we got lots of time to mould it etc.. i STILL had bubbles though :S but then so did everyone else so not too bad.
umm what else.oo also cos the med ppls had placements yesterday, the mgc tute was cancelled, which is also today.. soooo my tute today was cancelled.. so i didnt even have to go to uni :D:D so so so so so awesome. i ended up waking up early anyways, and just mucked around this morning.. practiced piano for about an hour which was fun.
currently learning a piano sonata.. beethoven's moonlight sonata, third movement. its so ferocious and intense its kinda scary. but the cool thing is that, about 6 months ago, i remember listening to it and thinking WOW. and then now when i can play the first few pages of it, so it kinda becomes naturalised. i went and watched the same youtube vid last night, and i was literally thinking.. how on earth could i think this was THAT impressive when i first heard it ahaha. i mean, its still impressive when you hear it, i just wasn't as gobsmacked as i was before, now that i can play it. oh well, just goes to show what a little effort can do :)
hmm.. i should garner that effort into my mouthguards assignment ahahahahahaha

almost a week...
...since i last blogged. been slacking off hahahaha.
annnddd im STILL listening to that song 'kabhi kabhi aditi' practically 24/7 haha.
anyways, things have been pretty cruisy. no assessments or anything..
had a mgc lab last week, where we had to stimulate a nerve on a toad's hind limb to make it contract.. was pretty cool actually.
annd weekend was good as well, saturday had work, and then went out for dinner sat night.
sunday was the UDSS soccer event, and we freshers got absolutely thrashed. and then after, went to subiaco for dinner, with some other dentals, and a eng guy.
we ate at JUS BURGER, and i had the 'chickpea' burger, since im vego and all. it was actually really good - felafel patty thing, hommus style spread, and tomato/lettuce. was quite tasty, and the serving size was pretty big as well, so was quite filling.
went to san churros after, and i had a avellana i think it was called, it was spanish hot chocalate infused with hazlenut goodness. YUMMY. it was REALLY thick though, almost like melted chocolate.. like in the chocolate they have in chocolate fountains.
anyhow, today at uni was pretty breezy as well. there was a 10-min period where i thought i lost my wallet :( searched EVERYWHERE in the science library, and then turned out jacky had it his pocket -.-"
oh well. better him than some other random-non-integrous-individual.
cos my wallet has all my dental cards and everything so it would EPICALLY suck if i lost it :S

tuseday the twenty seventh of april, two thousand and ten
today was pretty good actually! had uni, starting attt 10am :D and then my dtech lab in the arvo was short as well, cos i was in the 'extra' rotation, so got to go home early. we just went over dentures and gold crowns, and saw a gold crown being fired which was pretty cool :D
apart from that, not too much has happened.oooo im on youtube nows :D still uploading vids and all, adding to my collection of vids :P

two things.
two things:
1. i changed the background pic :D i think ive finally found the perfect pic which matches my colour scheme and everything =D
2. im completely addicted to this song: 'kabhi kabhi aditi' its from the movie 'jaane tu..ya jaane na'(whether you know.. or not). anyways i copied in the lyrics and a youtube of the song :D the youtube clip is a bit dodgy sound quality, but its the best i could find :D annndd 'aditi' is the name of the girl in the movie ahahaha.

my epic laziness over the last two weeks has mean that i havent blogged :( so i have decided to get over myself and just get back into it. things have been going pretty good :) actually, i was just thinking the other day, that for once in my life, i can actually say that im HAPPY. truly happy. i think i have everything id ever want in my life right now, im doing a course i love at uni, and im surrounded my things and people that i love and love to be around. i think the last few years have been hard work trying to get admission into a course i wanna do in uni and all other stuff has just always been on my mind, having a sort of omnipresence over me and everything i did, but not i can gladly say that its all cleared up and im free to be who i want to be =D
annndd in another epiphany/thoughtful moment, i also realised that i have to give thanks to each and every person who i've come across in my life so far, to help shape me the way i am today. sounds lame i know, but they say that each person you come across, no-matter how long they are in your life - wether it be a second, a week, or a year - they help change you as a person. sooo THANKS EVERYONE!!!
anyways, there is this new fb group out about uwa lecturer quotes, and i couldn't resist but to copy some of the quotes of my lectures, and some randoms as well, which i thought were really smart :D
okay first up there is the med/dent lecturer who does our anatomy course. he has a long white beard. so it just makes these soo much funnier when you know who he is.

changed the colour scheme as you can see, for the billionth time :)
i think the mass colours were deviating from the title of this blog, so i made them more SIMPLE =) which is kinda the point.
anyhow, haven't posted for ages, due to my extreme laziness.
study break is going good so far.
haven't done that much study though.
played the sims 3 yesterday, which is always fun.
got too many social events planned for this week though, don't really have much time to study.
but ill manage.

sunday
...morning rain is falling.
not.
today actually turned out to be a really good day weather wise! was coolish, but still sunny. was able to keep the windows open the WHOLE day which is always good.
anyways, didnt get upto too much today. did vacuuming+steammopping, and a bit of study. mainly just procrastination/lazing around/fb-ing.
oo and i played the piano.
i finally got my act together, and look into getting tickets for allied health: natural selection, hoping ill still be able to get a ticket :S looks like fun.
umm there isnt really much else.. i don't think.
